Half, Full, and Double Circle Skirts
These are the calculations you'll need for drafting full skirt patterns.
Please note: When cutting a panel on the fold, this counts as 2 pieces.

Drafting the Bodice Block - old version

The following is a list of the measurements you'll need to take to draft the basic bodice block, as shown in the tutorial:
Bust - at fullest part
Waist - at smallest part
Back neck to waist
Front neck to waist
Waist to armhole
Waist to bust
Neck circumference
Shoulder length
Chest width
Back width
The following will need to be calculated:
Armhole depth: This is the front neck to waist measurement minus the waist to armhole measurement.
Dart width: This is the bust measurement divided by the waist measurement. Multiply the answer by 6 (if inches, multiply by 2.4).
Use this chart for 'standard' dart measurements:
Find the nearest to your bust size, if you're in between sizes, adjust the dart accordingly. e.g. if your bust is 86cm, use a width half way between 6.4cm (84cm bust) and 7cm (88cm bust), your dart will be 6.7cm:
80cm - 5.8cm
84cm - 6.4cm
88cm - 7cm
92cm - 7.6cm
96cm - 8.2cm
100cm - 8.8cm
104cm - 9.4cm
110cm - 10cm
116cm - 10.6cm
122cm - 11.2cm
128cm - 11.8cm
134cm - 12.4cm
140cm - 13cm
146cm - 13.6cm
152cm - 14.2cm
** Note: The back neck drop is 1.5cm **
The following calculations are used while drafting the block:
Body width: Bust measurement + 2.5cm, then divide by 2
Back width point: Back width measurement divided by 2, then add 0.25cm
Front width point: Front width measurement + dart width measurement, then divide by 2
Front dart vertical position: Back neck to waist measurement - Front neck to waist measurement
Neck calculation: Neck circumference divided by 5
Shoulder position line on back: Armhole depth divided by 5, then plus 0.8cm (note that I accidentally forgot to mention the 0.8cm on the video!)
Shoulder position line on front: Measurement from above, plus 1.5cm
