A lapped zipper is great for fabrics that don't suit an invisible zipper.

They're easy to sew when you know how - and can be a bit confusing if you don't!

My tutorial shows you how to sew the zip in to a seam, how to put the lining in, and also how to finish the top edge (perfect for dresses).

I break it down in to manageable steps, so you can learn a bit at a time. If you're sewing a lapped zipper with a waistband, just skip the step where I finish the top edge, and then put your waistband on once your zip and lining are finished.
