A dolman sleeve looks easy, but it can be tricky to get it to fit right, especially if you have a curvy figure.

My tutorial explains the basics behind the dolman design, and I then show you how to draft this fabulous armhole shape.

The first pattern is a basic shape to draft designs from. Using a basic fabric rather than one with good drape, fit issues are easier to spot.

The second pattern shows you how to adapt this pattern in to a more interesting design by manipulating the darts. This time it's made from a much nicer fabric.

The third pattern shows you how to add a lot more volume to the sleeve - a batwing style cut in one piece. This is perfect for lightweight fabrics and knits.
